The Minister of Economic Development Roberto García Moritán blamed “a crowd financed and supported by the Kirchnerist apparatus.”

The Buenos Aires Government, through the Ministry of Economic Development, will provide a non-refundable contribution of up to $3,000,000 to businesses that were damaged during the incidents in front of the National Congress during the processing of the Bases Law.

The benefit may be requested by contacting the General Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, at email [email protected]; or by calling 5030-9200. To do so, they will be asked to document the damage with a police report, to which will be added an in-person verification by ministry personnel, the GCBA reported in a statement.

“This support is for premises that suffered internal damage. The cleaning of graffiti and the repair of damage to the sidewalks is being carried out by personnel from the Community Management area,” official sources added.

“My commitment is to defend and care for all the people who live, work and support the City of Buenos Aires. Therefore, we are not going to leave them alone. To the businesses that suffered damage, we are going to provide financial aid so that they do not have to bear all the expenses alone. In the City, the priorities are clear: those who commit crimes have consequences and those who work, we help them,” declared the head of Government, Jorge Macri.

“What happened in the vicinity of Congress is a living example of what the crack represents. This is moral. On the one hand, it is a crowd financed and supported by the Kirchnerist apparatus, which destroyed public and private property; and on the other side merchants with their blinds lowered, who lost a day of billing and work due to the same violent acts as always,” said Roberto García Moritán, Minister of Economic Development of the City.

“We are going to invest financially in each of those businesses so that they can fix up their premises. But also, as Jorge Macri said, we are going to go to court so that each of those responsible for this takes responsibility,” he added.
