Starting at 2 p.m., the drivers are scheduled to stop the units. “When we have all the workers we will hold the assembly,” they explained.

A similar measure was recorded two weeks ago, when on Tuesday, June 4, the drivers interrupted the service in rejection of the “without cause” dismissal of two colleagues. That day, the service was restricted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Continental line drivers do not provide service

This Tuesday, a hearing was scheduled at the Ministry of Labor between the workers and the employers, in which the dismissal without cause of two drivers was going to be discussed, in addition to issues related to working conditions, such as work clothes and the status of the units.

A representative of the Continental company did not rule out deepening the measures.

One aspect that worries drivers is that The company maintains that it has to lay off 14 more employees.

The assembly is expected to last between two to two and a half hours. Once completed, they assure that the service will be immediately normalized on all the routes covered by the company. If an agreement is not reached with the company, the workers announced that they will deepen the forceful measures.
