A young man identified as Daniel Alejandro Betancourt San Pedro, 18 years old He died after crashing his motorcycle into a pole on a road in southern Armenia. The authorities are investigating whether the traffic accident was caused by a car that had previously collided with the motorcyclist and then fled the scene, as reported by some witnesses to the road accident.
According to the Secretary of Transit and Transportation of Armenia, Daniel Jaime Castaño, the accident was reported last Sunday (June 16) in the sector of Carrera 19 A Calle 48, at the Texaco service station in front of the Cooburquín company, where the body of the motorcyclist “who unfortunately died at the scene” was found
And he added that “There is a second vehicle involved”. This information was also reported by witnesses who even pointed out that he was white. However, no other vehicle was found at the scene, so the case passed into the hands of investigators from the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The young man lived in the El Placer neighborhood and He was a student in the Business Administration program at the University of Quindío. He had completed his high school studies at the CASD educational institution where he was recognized for his academic performance.

It was also known that Betancourt was leaving a meeting with some friends and was heading to his mother’s house when the accident occurred.
