- The Mayor’s Office allocated 1,328 million pesos for the adaptation and improvement of the Palogrande Sports Unit.

In order to provide optimal spaces for the practice of sport and physical activity for Manizales residents, the Mayor’s Office of Manizales, through the Secretariats of Sports and Infrastructure, carries out maintenance and investment processes to improve sports venues.
Rural sports venues.
The La Garrucha field was intervened and is in optimal condition. Pruning, painting, adaptation of arches and mesh enclosure of the sports arena were carried out. Work is also being carried out on: the multiple fields and the San Peregrino soccer field, Panorama township, the soccer field in the Guacas village, El Tablazo Agrotourism township, and the soccer field in the La Cabaña village, Remanso township.
Palogrande Sports Unit
The micro-soccer (3) and basketball (4) fields are undergoing preventive maintenance, the process of demarcation, painting and metal-mechanical repairs is underway.
On the other hand, the contract to carry out the adaptation and improvement of the Palogrande Sports Unit has already been awarded for a total investment of $1,329,465,411. The work will begin in the next few days.
The investment includes:
- Hood for court three.
- Synthetic floor for courts three and four.
- Area for a sand volleyball court.
- Improvements in metalworking.
In total, 103 proposals were presented to execute the project.
