After leaving Belgrano in March of this year, Guillermo Farré returns to the ring and was officially presented as the new coach of Sporting Cristal, a team that plays in the first division of Peruvian soccer.
The coach was chosen by the management to replace Enderson Moreira at the head of the team, and in a press conference Farré spoke of the doubts that were raised due to his lack of experience as a coach, since he only coached for Pirata in his career.
“In my previous team they told me that I had no experience and I had the possibility of making them champion and qualifying them for a Copa Sudamericana. When people talk to me about lack of experience, I have the personality to say that it is ability. I have had personal experience throughout my career as a player and over time as a coach. I have the peace of mind that as a professional we are prepared to face this great challenge”he pointed.
Regarding his objectives as a coaching staff he said: “Being able to reach the championship is what will allow us to continue strengthening the structure of the institution. We know that there is material and a very good tournament was held that could not be achieved due to football issues. “We are committed to being able to give our best in the closing tournament and achieve the objective.”
On the other hand, he stated what imprint he hopes to give to the team: “Our imprint is of a winning, ambitious mentality, of prominence with the ball and we have many interesting things to contribute to Cristal. “I am getting to know the group and we are seeing the possibility that all the players feel able to be important here again.”
And he closed by showing gratitude for this opportunity to continue growing as a coach: “Cristal gives priority to any coach, the structure and history of the club has been reflected over time. He offers you all the conditions to achieve the objectives that are being set.”
