In a ceremony held at the Administrative Headquarters of the Postgraduate Office of the Universidad Surcolombiana and which was attended by authorities from both entities, the agreement was formalized, whose central objective is the development of joint actions in key areas such as training, employment , entrepreneurship, research and innovation, as well as social projection. These actions will be agreed upon jointly, focusing on reciprocal interests and aligned with the objectives and functions of both institutions.
Actions and Benefits of the Agreement
Training: The aim is to provide undergraduate training for SENA graduates at the technologist level to carry out the homologation process according to the policies of the Surcolombiana University. Additionally, collaborate strategically to improve the provision of vocational training and higher education services in the region.
Knowledge Transfer: Encourage transfers of knowledge, good practices and technologies that contribute to training, pedagogical and curricular processes; to the development and certification of labor skills; to the system of research, innovation, technological development and knowledge management, in order to strengthen comprehensive vocational training and higher education.
Entrepreneurship: Cooperate in the consolidation of the culture of entrepreneurship, businessmanship and the employment relationship of graduates of SENA and the Universidad Surcolombiana.
Work Practices: Carry out exchanges of experiences to strengthen the work skills of SENA trainees of the productive stage in the internship modality, and of the students of the Universidad Surcolombiana in the framework of their practices (labor, professional, pedagogical, social , teachers), internships, judiciaries and/or social service.
Commitment to Regional Development
The regional director of SENA Huila, Adriana Milena Gasca Cardoso, highlighted the importance of this agreement by pointing out that “we are very happy with the signing of this agreement due to the scope and impact it has at the regional level in aspects such as training, entrepreneurship, innovation, research and technological development for the benefit of all Huilenses.” For her part, the rector of the Surcolombiana University, Nidia Guzmán Durán, stated that “after 20 years we have finally achieved the signing of this agreement that allows us to join forces for the benefit of the young people of Huila in their training process and regional development. ”.
With this agreement, SENA Huila reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive development of the region, always seeking the rational use of its resources and the achievement of its institutional goals.
