La Rioja works on the process of digitizing secondary degrees and higher education

The Ministry of Education presented the Federal Digital Title System in the Coty Agost Carreño room, on the Paseo Cultural, and began training managers, supervisors and technicians from institutions throughout the province in the process of digitizing titles.

This unified system throughout the country aims to reduce the time that passes between the graduation date and the date on which students obtain their educational certifications, as well as reduce the use of paper in educational procedures.

The Resolution of the Federal Council No. 440 that establishes the Federal System of Titles, digital issuance, states that its purpose is to expedite student mobility, the pursuit of studies, job placement and the continuity of higher studies of the graduated students. of secondary education and higher education.

At the meeting, the Minister of Education, Ariel Martínez expressed that “it is a recognition and strengthening of the institutions, it is the transformation of an entire process, monitoring and efforts of the educational community.”

He maintained that “this qualitative step allows us to contextualize the responses of an educational system to what our society requires today. The information that will be used in a timely manner will be efficient and will streamline all processes.”

The minister described that “in a very few days, the province’s Educational system achieved, through SAGE, the academic monitoring of our students, the Single Teaching File, the POF of the various institutions and levels, and today this process of digitalization of the registration process qualification”.
For her part, the Secretary of Educational Management, Zoraida Rodríguez, said that “this process marks a turning point and this has to do with the educational policies that we have been applying through our Rosario Vera Peñaloza plan.”

In this sense, the secretary stated that “the system will allow us to have a database, on a platform, to have the students that we have in the system digitized, to be able to acquire that instrument that the children need so much.” , especially at the secondary level to enter higher levels.” “This year we have asked the universities for an extension to wait for us to issue the 2023 degrees and we hope that in August or September we will be able to deliver the first digitized degrees to our students,” she added.

“The idea is that with this system we can quickly respond, if we have qualifications and we can work every February, March, when the kids finish performing, we will have the conditions given to deliver the degrees to our students,” he added.

New Title Digitization System
Regarding the new system and the training, Marcos Fuentes, advisor on Educational Innovation of the Ministry of Education, highlighted that “the application of the system is a milestone, a paradigm shift in the secondary school graduation process, educational modalities, higher education in the province because we left aside the paper format in each school.”
“The system was approved through a Resolution of the Federal Council of 2023 and here in the province, we restructured the administrative formats and managed to implement a method where an access code will be generated for each of the administrators and directors of the schools. so that they begin to load what is the curricular role of each student. And the second stage, after the administrative and legal procedure, the students will have their degree available,” Fuentes added.
Meanwhile, he explained that “it is downloaded as many times as necessary, but it is valid only once because it is a title in an approved format. The student can have it as a PDF but it is approved only once, then they enter a provincial registration stage that will follow the same circuit, but in the digital part, there will be no alteration of the title because there are computer security codes that limit this. type of plagiarism.”
Finally, Fuentes highlighted that “the fundamental thing about everything, what leaves us calmer as management, is transparency, there will be a single base where all the titles will be. In the short-term future there will not be the volume of paper that is handled in each institution.” “Today we begin the officialization, the technical team of the title area is already trained, today we begin a short-term training plan with each of the schools, virtual and in-person, so that the manager has access to the system and can begin to upload everything that corresponds to each student and if everything goes well at the end of the year we intend to have the digital titles already loaded” he concluded.
It is expected that the digital titles for 2023 will be available in September of this year and those for the 2024 cycle will be available in December.
The presentation included the participation of the Secretary of Socio-Educational Policies, Duilio Madera; In addition, from the managers and technical references of all the Capital institutions and, through meet, from the entire province.
