Police sources reported that on San Isidro street, before Laprida street, a 21-year-old girl was affected by a fire that originated in the grasslands.
The flames spread to the precarious house of the girl, which was built with reeds, mud and sticks.
It was about one single room and was completely consumed by fire.
A team of firefighters were in charge of putting out the incident, but the material losses were total. Fortunately, there were no injuries, police sources highlighted.
On the other hand, in the San Martín department, in the vicinity of Rocío de Luján neighborhoodfive families had to evict their homes as a precaution due to the smoke generated by the grassland fires in that area.
The sources indicated that the people were transferred to a clearingwhere they remained until the flames were put out and then returned to their homes.
