A national team meeting is coming

The press conference was held yesterday Wednesday at the Sports Secretariat of La Rioja, in which the “Meeting of national teams: La Rioja versus Catamarca” was officially presented.

The event will take place this Saturday on the Los Chelcos court in La Rioja, playing from 1:00 p.m. in M16, 2:30 p.m. in M17 and 4:00 p.m. Mayores, where the selected XV from La Rioja and Catamarca will face each other.

In this context, the president of the Andean Rugby Union, Darío Almada, explained that “we have had the initiative to hold an interprovincial meeting of teams in M16, M17 and Seniors, with the objective of aligning the Andean Union’s teams, in the three categories, where Elías Bogoya, Octavio Cortés and Mario Acevedo are the respective head coaches.”

“The idea – added Almada – is that from this meeting, the formation of the Union’s teams will be defined, facing the different competitions of this season.”

And in that sense he detailed that in August the second edition of the “Meeting of Four Unions” will be played, which will be in Catamarca and that in September a match will be held with Jujuy in Majors and M17.

In addition, the M16 will participate in the Argentino de Desarrollo in Junín and the M17 will be in the National Select 12, where the Andina will host for the second year in a row and will take place in Catamarca.

Also participating in the press conference were the presidents of Social, Saro D’anna; from Chelcos, Rubén Herrera; de Naranjos RC, Juan Coria; and from CRAR, Guillermo Montivero.
