The singer recalled his time in the world of politics in 2016, when he wanted to be mayor of the city where he is from, but received a proposal from a company to put everything aside.
Leo Méndez will be one of the guests of the new chapter of La Divina Comida, an occasion in which he declassified details of his campaign to mayor of Valparaíso for which he ran in 2016.
The singer shared with the veterinarian and founder of Buin Zoo, Ignacio Idalsoaga; the senator Paulina Vodanovic and the singer Carolina Sototo whom he detailed his foray into the political world.

“At some point I was in a campaign too, political, new blood came as they say. (Jorge) Sharp, there everyone will know their opinion on whether he has done well or badly, but I did not win as mayor, but I won the purpose with the people, we got more than 22 thousand votes”, he began remembering.
DJ Méndez received a millionaire proposal
DJ Méndez delved into his time in politics and gave details of a situation that affected him, as he revealed that they offered him a million-dollar amount in order to lower his candidacy.
“It was painful, it was a lot of work, I realized a lot of things that maybe one didn’t want to know, being told ‘hey, we’re offering you $400 million to get out of a campaign’, it’s like ‘is this real or Is it a movie?’” he explained.
Finally, despite the pressure, the singer explained that decided not to give in and did not accept the proposal to continue forward with his candidacy.
“(I did) What anyone should have done and has to do, is no, obvious, that’s why I continued with my campaign. But hey, an experience of a lifetime,” he declared.
