The event held on the esplanade of the Municipality of the Capital was attended by Mayor Ulpiano Suárez, school government authorities, directors, teachers and students of Greater Mendoza.

This Wednesday, on the esplanade of the Municipality of the Capital and on the eve of National Flag Day, students from schools 1-047 Bartolomé Mitre, 4-111 Ingeniero Pablo Nogués, 9-002 Tomás Godoy Cruz and 2-722 performed the act of swearing in our greatest national symbol. The event was attended by the mayor of the capital, Ulpiano Suárez; the director of Primary Education, Laura Tello; the director of Secondary Level, Emilio Moreno; the general coordinator of Educational Policies of the General Directorate of Schools, Adriana Yenarópulos; educational authorities, teachers, families and students.

It should be noted that, previously, Laura Tello and Adriana Yenarópulos were present at the provincial Legislature, accompanying Vice Governor Hebe Casado and legislators in a replica of the same celebratory event with fourth grade students from the Patricias Mendocinas School.

The director of Primary Education declared: “We are accompanying the Municipality of the Capital in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, to the children of fourth grade and second year of high school. We come from the Legislature, where the girls from the Patricias Mendocinas School also swore the Flag, an extremely valuable act in this childhood journey in which one begins to become aware of what the Flag represents; of how the Argentine feeling is captured in this national symbol that served to identify us in a time of struggles, but also of great hope in relation to the need for freedom and identity that the people had at that time. Today it calls us, it challenges us and we are proud to be able to be protagonists of this part of history, where, also with hope and with a lot of work, we defend this Flag for the prosperity of our people.”

For her part, Adriana Yenarópulos, general coordinator of Educational Policies of the DGE, expressed: “We are commemorating Flag Day in the Municipality of the City of Mendoza, accompanying the mayor and the primary and secondary school children who will make the promise and the oath of the Flag respectively, so for us it is a day of celebration and joy for the unity of the boys in this civic sentiment.”

For his part, the director of the Secondary Level pointed out: “We are sharing a very emotional act, accompanying secondary students in their promise to our Flag. “This same thing is repeated in all the schools at the level, on a day as significant as the one we are celebrating today.”

In turn, Mayor Suárez expressed his joy at receiving the students and highlighted: “It is impossible, for me, not to return to those years in La Consulta, at the Adolfo Tula School, where I attended primary school and took my oath to the Flag. . They are events that mark us for life, unforgettable. And it is very important that, in these times, we can meet to value everything that our national symbols represent.”
