They are the MSc. Alejandro García Moya and the MSc. Yan Miguel Gallo, Director and Deputy Director of Research, Innovation and Development of the CEAC, respectively, who showed Cuba’s experiences in this scientific field.

GloWAL, launched at the 2023 United Nations Water Conference, empowers countries to generate their own chemical, biological and isotopic data relating to the vital liquid.

Data and information help meet Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean water and sanitation) and the Water Action Agenda. Laboratories capable of generating reliable data in a timely manner are the cornerstone of the ability to better understand and manage your water resources.

The GloWAL Network enables collaboration and communication between laboratories at all stages of development to share knowledge, promote capacity building and support training, so that each laboratory can make the most of its capabilities.

The CEAC is the leading center in marine and surface water pollution studies in Cuba and is a Collaborating Center of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the Study of Coastal-Marine Ecosystems in the Latin American and Caribbean Region.
