Troops of the Eleventh Brigade of the National Army reported this June 20 that they located and destroyed in a controlled manner two new laboratories for the processing of coca base paste in the sectors known as Beautiful view and The turkeyrural area of ​​the municipality of Saint Joseph of Uréin the south of Córdoba.

“During the military action, two structures were destroyed that contained 310 kilograms of scraped coca leaves, 275 gallons of gasoline, 75 gallons of coca base paste in process, 22 cans, 7 shovels, ammonia and ACPM, among other supplies and materials for the manufacture of the alkaloid,” reported the National Army.

Likewise, it was indicated that “These laboratories produced 17 kilograms of coca base paste monthly, whose value would be greater than 52 million pesos, which generates a significant impact on the finances of the armed group Clan del Golfo.”.

“Likewise, the flow of money that finances criminal actions against the Public Force and the civilian population of the department of Córdoba is limited, and the recovery of areas that have been deforested for the construction of these illegal infrastructures is achieved,” he added.

It should be remembered that, so far in 2024, the military forces have managed to destroy more than 20 laboratories for the processing of coca in the south of Córdoba.
