Activities to enjoy outdoors

For lovers of outdoor activities, the Capital city also has a series of activities and experiences planned.

One of the proposed activities is to experience Astronomical Tourism at the Catamarca Fairgrounds through a special full moon event. The event will take place from today until Sunday from 9 to 11 p.m. and participants will have a guided talk using the stellarium application in real time, use of the green laser, presentation and telescope observation of the moon, constellations and planets . In addition, they will be able to practice Astrophotography (photo with a telescope) and will have a small snack as part of the service. Other alternatives to enjoy this long weekend is to rent a kayak today, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the El Jumeal Ecopark, through the providers Alijilán Tur (383-510951) and Julio Cesar Martínez (383-4059130 ). There will also be zip lining on Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 8:30 p.m. through the provider Marcelo Arroyo (383 478 9238). All these active tourism activities also have a cost and due to inclement weather, the activities will be carried out with prior reservation.

Another alternative will be to rent assisted bicycles, such as the BiciTur from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the tourist information booth in Plaza 25 de Mayo as a starting point. Another similar alternative, but with a guide, is offered by City Bike from the Catamarca Travel and Tourism Agency, with tours from Monday to Sunday, at times to be agreed, through 383-500864 (cost-charged activity).

In addition to this, the Los Sitios Agency also offers “Pedaleando el Valle”, with bicycle rental assisted by a guide, from Monday to Sunday at a time to be agreed upon with a 3-hour tour and you must communicate in advance at 383-4370249.

On the other hand, the FreeTours continue, touring the city on foot with expert guides, from Monday to Sunday at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., with prior reservation at 383-4777056.
