Faced with the most recent attacks that are taking place in Cauca and Valle del Cauca, the President Gustavo Petro sent a message to the members of the FARC dissidents to “not attack the popular government.”
“I ask all minors and members in general of the EMC of Cauca not to attack the popular and democratic government of Colombia,” held.
The president pointed out that “It’s time to leave the drug dealers alone” and reminded those who want to leave dissidence behind, the door is open to peace.

“Those who abandon their weapons individually and collectively will fully enter the agrarian reform program. It is the time for change and peace”he pointed out.
The harassment in Cauca, especially in the municipality of Suárez, has been constant, which is why Petro announced on May 20 that “the offensive against the EMC in Cauca is total.”
