Cienfuegos, Cuba. – For the El Porvenir covered tobacco farm, located in the Cumanayagua municipality, the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, began his agenda this Friday in Cienfuegos.

The largest producer of covered tobacco in Cienfuegos, with 9.6 tons of leaf in 2023, has diversified its productions, promotes the use of renewable energy, built a children’s house with capacity for 25 children, and continues to expand its horizons toward export.
Regarding the creation of the children’s house, specifically, Marrero Cruz highlighted the novelty of that experience, since it is about bringing teaching, with the same professionalism, to all communities.
The head of Government also arrived at the Cumanayagua Maternity Home, currently in the investment process to expand the center, today with capacity for 18 pregnant women.
Of the 17 who are admitted, 4 are teenagers, a problem that urgently needs to be addressed comprehensively.
Facing the limitations of a war economy
The tour of the prime minister and the delegation that accompanied him continued through the dairy company Escambrayvery distant today from the productive levels that distinguished it.
