Three vehicles belonging to the Army and the Police were set on fire in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Buenos Aires, Cauca, during a riot that took place while a judicial operation was being carried out in the Las Delicias sector.

“At the end of the military operation, members of the communities, committing the crime of riot and attacking the integrity of the soldiers of the National Army, began violent actions to expel the military from the area, setting two vehicles on fire,” the Army reported in a statement. release.

The residual structures of the organized armed groups Dagoberto Ramos and Jaime Martínez continue to collaborate with certain sectors of the population to prevent the advance of Army troops. These troops have reached strategic areas and mobility corridors that affect drug trafficking chains, a crucial part of their illicit economies.

“The community is urged not to obstruct military operations, nor attack those in uniform, because this can be consecutive to criminal offenses such as those enshrined in articles 226, 429 and 469 of the Colombian Penal Code,” requested the National Army.

Faced with this new attack on the Public Force, the senator of the Democratic Center, María Fernanda Cabal, spoke out and described the Minister of Defense as “incapable.”
