He ceased to exist at the age of 85 and shared his last moments with his family.

Quindío journalism is in mourning, after the death of Nelson Sabogal Vásquez was confirmed this afternoon, Friday, June 21, after suffering from a severe illness.

The death of the communicator, a native of Córdoba, Quindío, was confirmed by his own relatives. ‘Chola’, as he was affectionately known, ceased to exist at the age of 85.

His journalistic work was received through his opinions and spaces in entities such as Radio Ciudad Milagro, La Voz de Calarcá and lately in Zuldemayda Radio.

But in the political world he had an echo, since he always raised the flag of the Liberal party to the point of being elected as a deputy, and reached several public positions.

Likewise, he was linked to sport, since he was for years the president of the Quindío Football League, as well as the head of Coldeportes in the region.

At the moment his loved ones have not confirmed where his body will be buried, as well as the date and time of the funeral.
