In the municipality of Yopal, a technological waste collection project is being developed in the 24 educational institutions, aimed at properly managing damaged equipment that takes up valuable space in each of the headquarters.

Among the technological waste recently collected are VHS, televisions, monitors, printers, recorders, mice, keyboards, toner, tablets and power supplies and CD players, equipment that, due to reaching its useful life, was collected for disposal. final, in accordance with legal requirements.

This program not only promotes sustainability by recycling electronic devices, but also frees up areas within educational institutions, creating more orderly and safer environments for students.

First working day

This collection of technological waste is being developed in stages. In the first, equipment was received from the Centro Social, La Esmeralda, Itey, Megacolegio El Progreso and Lucila Piragauta educational institutions, achieving an equivalent of 3 tons of useless equipment.

Likewise, it is planned that, once classes restart, after the vacation period, this same process will be carried out in La Chaparrera, El Charte, Morichal and in the educational institutions of Luis Hernández Vargas and Braulio González.
