With the aim of having access to public works information throughout the territory, the Neuquén government launched the Unified Registration and Information System (SURI) that will allow all data linked to routes, homes, bridges, water supply works, energy generation and transportation and construction of public buildings, among others.

It is a tool that will improve the levels of transparency and data collection of a work throughout the entire construction process; from planning to use.

The SURI is part of the unconventional infrastructure plan Edificamos Neuquén, whose presentation was made in the auditorium of the Government House, with the participation of Governor Rolando Figueroa, his cabinet and mayors.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Rubén Etcheverry, explained that SURI arises “from the need to have access to information about the work in a single place.”

The SURI is made up of several information modules, among which the “works module” stands out, with information on each work, certifications and progress; “dashboards and indicators”, where the information is analyzed by generating statistical graphs and reports using data science techniques; needs, where information on projects, desires and needs for works is recorded; and “uses”, where public establishments are georeferenced, with information on their uses and hours occupied in each of the works.

“SURI is not just a detail of works, since it works on modules that help the management of the ministry, such as the ticket module, locality anniversaries, organizational chart, etc.,” explained Etcheverry.

“We are also attached to the Neuquén Integrability Ecosystem, working on the efficiency and transparency of information, which is managed by the OPTIC dependent on the Planning Secretariat and Chief of Staff.” On that same level, he highlighted that “with Copade we work a lot on fundamental, transversal and articulation points such as regionalization.”

The official assured that they will continue working on improvements and updates to SURI, “which is a system in constant evolution,” highlighting that “one of the objectives is to record all the information about the work, from the beginning with the bidding document, for the work, the certification by system, redeterminations and finalization of the same.”
