The vallenato singer Elder Dayan Díaz reported about an accident of the bus that usually transports his musical group on the road that leads from San Juan del Cesar to Valledupar.
The incident occurred early this Saturday morning and left one person injured.
However, The singer indicated that his group was not traveling on the bus at the time of the accident and that the driver suffered minor injuries.
“Good morning my people; Unfortunately, the bus in which ‘the machine’ is transported suffered an accident on the road from San Juan that leads to Valledupar, but the group was not on it… The driver suffered minor injuries but thank God he is fine!” singer through his X account.
Authorities establish a possible microsleep
Only the driver was traveling and he collided with a structure at the Río Seco toll, in Cesar, that is the information we have for now.
EL TIEMPO established that the bus driver of the Elder Dayán group was traveling alone and moved to the town of Paraguachón (La Guajira), on the border with Venezuela, to wait for the musicians who are on tour in the neighboring country.
Apparently, the driver suffered from a microsleep and crashed into the Río Seco toll structure, in the department of Cesar, which never worked and was abandoned, which is located about two kilometers from the town of Los Haticos, jurisdiction of San Juan del Cesar (La Guajira).
The accident site would be destined for a toll
“Only the driver was traveling and he collided with a structure at the Río Seco toll plaza, in Cesar, that is the information we have for now,” said Major Camilo Andrés Rivera Parada, head of the Transit and Transportation Section of the Guajira Police.
On social networks, followers of the artist claim that the site is apparently close to a booth that was abandoned on the road and where an attempt was made to place a toll.
