The death toll rose to three from the terrorist attack with a car bomb that occurred on the afternoon of Friday, June 21, in the town of Remolino, a rural area of ​​the municipality of Taminango, north of Nariño. This was reported by the governor of Nariño, Luis Alfonso Escobar, via statement:

Three people lost their lives after the deplorable act: a merchant, a man and a young member of the National Police”.

He also indicated that nine people were injured in the unfortunate act of violence, but clarified that they are recovering satisfactorily.

The images show the magnitude of the event, which also left serious material damage.

Authorities point to alias ‘Mata’, leader of the Franco Benavides substructure of the dissidents, as responsible for the incident. A reward of up to 50 million pesos is offered for information on his whereabouts.
