The Colombia women’s team is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and in search of reaching a good pace of competition, the team led by coach, Ángelo Marsiglia, will have one last test and, incidentally, it will serve as a farewell match in front of the fans.
The match that will test the women’s team before the Olympics is Ecuador and it will be in Colombian territory, specifically at the Jaime Morón stadium in Cartagena, on July 13 at 4 in the afternoon.

With this duel against the Ecuadorians, the Colombian women’s national team hopes to arrive with a more defined game idea and the players called up for that game will be the definitive roster that the coaching staff will take to the Olympic event.
Ecuador has faced Colombia on several occasions and the last game happened on August 7, 2022, during the women’s Copa América. On that occasion, the team managed to defeat them 2-1 with goals from Mayra Ramírez and Linda Caicedo, who will surely be in Paris.
After its participation in the Women’s World Cup, Colombia has managed to accumulate four microcycles and eight friendlies, achieving positive results of five victories, two draws and one defeat.
In addition to this, Colombia played the women’s Gold Cup at the beginning of 2024, a competition in which they reached the quarterfinals of the tournament, being eliminated against the powerhouse United States.
