Salta will host the National instance of the World Robot Olympiad, on September 6 and 7 at the Convention Center.
The WRO is an international educational robotics competition aimed at children and young people between 8 and 19 years old, from all over the world.
Its objective is to seek to unite students from all corners of the planet to foster their creativity, teach them the future of the world and help them be part of it.

The mission of this Olympiad is to inspire the next generation of world scientific leaders, engineers and innovators, to promote the integration of modern science in education by sowing the seeds of knowledge from an early age and, above all, to enhance youth ingenuity to solve cognitive challenges that develop the mentality of children and young people.
Students from public, private and technical schools, workshops, institutes or robotics clubs from 8 to 19 years old can participate in this championship.
To participate in the National Championship in Salta, all teams must compete in regional instances in each province. The regional in Salta will take place between August 12 and 17.

Innovative futuresThis is a fair of projects that are related to the theme of this season. This year, the theme is “Allies of the Earth” and includes the free choice of controllers, sensors and motors. Each team will present their project and prototype of a robot. Not only the solution will be evaluated, but also the innovation and entrepreneurship aspects of the project will be analyzed. There are different categories: elementary, junior and senior.
For the most advanced there is the category of Future Engineerswhere the challenge is more complex and requires applying artificial vision cameras for image recognition, and the use of various sensors.

Finally, there is the category of Robotics Missionswhich are exclusive to Lego robotics teams. In this category, a robot must move on a board, solving tasks and challenges related to caring for the earth. This category requires a lot of mechanical creativity and strategies to get the best score. Anyone from 8 to 19 years old can participate.
