The video, which was shared on the ‘X’ network, already has thousands of views.
“Protecting our animals is protecting our planet. Today, a small sloth in danger was rescued by our uniformed officers. This little guy now has a new opportunity,” are the words that accompany the clip that was posted on the official account of the Transit Police. In the images it is observed that The police officer paused his work when he saw the animal in the middle of a ravine, which could not move due to the muddy terrain.
The ‘hero’ as many are calling him, went down to the place to help the sloth, leaving him in the wooded area. Although the bear’s thoughts cannot be known for certain, many Internet users highlighted that his expressions and movements showed a certain gratitude to the man who saved him from drowning.

This emotional scene occurs days after some Czech content creators reported that individuals were exploiting some specimens of this species in the city of Cartagena. Míša and Jirka, as they are known on platforms such as TikTok, the influencers showed their indignation at the fact that these animals are being exploited for the subjects to obtain financial gain, for which they asked the authorities to take action on the matter.
