The perception that Chile is on the right track improves 9pts this week and reaches 38%, the best result since September 2022. In turn, those who feel optimistic about Chile’s future (38%) once again outperform after more than a year to those who are more pessimistic (36%).

In this context, the approval of Mario Marcel (57%) and Nicolás Grau (43%) also improves, both rising 10pts compared to April. The three best evaluated in the cabinet are Jaime Pizarro (79%), Carolina Arredondo (63%) and Jaennette Jara (59%).

49% evaluated the President’s tour of Europe positively vs. 41% who considered it negative. And although 53% think that they should have returned sooner as a result of the frontal system, 73% agree that the tours presidential elections strengthen Chile’s image abroad.

In other international issues, the Israel/Hamas war (31%) and the Russia/Ukraine war (27%) are perceived as the main conflicts worldwide, while organized crime (22%) and global warming (19% ) are perceived as the main threats. Finally, 94% know the UN and among them 52% have a positive image and 42% a negative one, mainly over 55 years of age (50%) and identified with the right (51%).
