The municipal Health Secretariat of Armenia carried out the second day of the program Mayor’s Office of your Hand, which took place in commune 2. There the sterilization of 31 pets and the vaccination of another 198 were achieved.
In this way, we contribute not only to controlling overpopulation and abandonment rates of dogs and cats in the city, but also to reducing zoonotic diseases such as rabies, which is 100% preventable thanks to annual pet vaccinations.
The mayor’s office of Armenia ratifies its commitment to be closer to the community, listening and managing according to their needs with the firm purpose of building, together, an Armenia with More Opportunities.
The residents of the sector were pleased and expressed their gratitude for the efforts made by the leaders of the neighborhoods that belong to community two, for this day to take place.
Olga Jiménez Ortiz, representative of the Community Action Board of the Puerto Espejo neighborhood, indicated:
