Both are stable and under medical care in a healthcare center.
The attack, which occurred around 4:00 in the afternoon, generated shock and concern in the political and social sphere of Mosquera. The authorities began an exhaustive investigation to determine the motives for the attack and capture those responsible. “These facts are the subject of investigation by our criminal investigation and intelligence units,” said Lieutenant Colonel Landazábal.
Taking into account the person they were visiting in prison, it was learned that Olmedo Perlaza is the cousin of Hader Cuero Valencia, alias ‘Curva’, captured along with his brother on January 6 on a farm in Valle del Cauca for crimes related to drug trafficking and request for extradition by the United States.
The two injured councilors are in the La Victoria hospital, south of Bogotá, while the Police advance with the investigations.
So far, no details have been revealed about possible previous threats against the councilors.. However, the National Police continues to collect information and testimonies that will clarify the case and provide security to the affected public officials.
