Nation will pay directly for works to companies without going through the Province
The arrival of Javier Milei to the presidency generated changes and public works is one of them. To the stoppage that occurred from December to date to the Nation’s decision to reactivate works that are in principle more than 70% complete.
However, the payment method will change as confirmed by the libertarian leader in La Rioja, Martín Menem, at least with respect to our province. In that context, he indicated that “the works that are pending, the Nation will send directly to the companies.”
Specifically, Menem indicated that before the funds were sent to La Rioja and the province was in charge of enabling payments to the firms in charge of the work and controlling the certificates of works.
In addition, the Rioja legislator also maintained that it will be the Milei management that “will control that (the companies) finish the works as quickly as possible, so the money does not remain in the gray when it enters the coffers of the province” and will not can be used “for other purposes.”
Finally, he announced that the Nation will call for signing the framework agreement with these changes, something that according to the provincial government should have happened days ago and was suspended by the Casa Rosada.
