On Saturday, the theft of three Toyota trucks was reported in the Capital city.

In contact with Fenix, Commissioner Alejandro Quinteros, head of institutional relations of the police, confirmed that they managed to recover two of the vehicles.

The first incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Av. Perón, where a Toyota SW4 truck was stolen, which was found after several hours on the paddle tennis court in front of the City Park.

Dr. María Eugenia Torres ordered the delivery of the vehicle to its owners after the tests, where they detected signs of violence on one of the doors.

In the afternoon, another Toyota SW4 was stolen from the parking lot of the VEA supermarket, and around 9:00 p.m. they found it at the SHELL service station, at the intersection of Route 38 and Route 5.

The third truck is a Toyota Hilux that was stolen from the Andino field, where a fair was taking place.

The vehicle is domain red AC089GU, and so far the police have not been able to locate it.

The Commissioner clarified that, as there is an ongoing investigation, he cannot provide further information, but there is a suspicion that the criminals would be from another province.

“They came only with the objective of stealing a vehicle, but we also wonder why they later left them abandoned,” he said.
