Córdoba: Pretto appointed Vargas as General Secretary of Coordination of the Deliberative Council – WRITING

This week, Deputy Mayor Javier Pretto (Pro, Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba) appointed Yanina Vargas as General Secretary of Coordination of the City Council. The leader of the Pro party in Córdoba Capital who assumes this position is part of Pretto’s political action team.

Both are part of the Pro sector that makes up the alliance of Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba (HUxC) with Córdoba Peronism and other political forces.

According to information that has emerged, the General Secretary for Coordination is responsible for “implementing mechanisms to modernize legislative and administrative processes; monitoring compliance with the goals of the different areas of the structure of the Deliberative Council; coordinating the administration of the Transparency Portal and the procedure for access to Public Information.”

He will also be in charge of “the interconnection between secretariats, directorates and administrative areas with parliamentary blocs and body of councilors, seeking support in the legislative municipal public function, especially in relation to the organization and operation of the administrative bodies and the design, execution and monitoring of the legislative procedure.”

Among other functions determined in his appointment, it is established to “assist the Vice Mayor in everything related to the exercise of the political-institutional powers of the Deliberative Council; its relations with the Municipal Executive Department and the deliberative bodies of the province and other municipalities, with public and private, national or international institutions; and with any organization of a political, professional or union nature.”

Functionally, within the structure of the deliberative body, it will be in charge of the departments of Senior Officers, Special Programs, Legal Affairs, Press, Ceremony and Protocol, Institutional Relations and Institutional Communication.
