The Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre), headed by Laura Sarabia, decided to open an internal investigation into offices in Casa de Nariño, amid accusations of alleged interceptions of magistrates, opponents and journalists.

“Since the complaints about an alleged profiling and interception operation were made public, an investigation was requested from internal control and internal disciplinary control. of the entity with the objective of determining irregular circumstances in the processes and procedures that correspond to the offices of the Secretariat for Communications and Press, and the Technology Directorate of the Presidency of the Republic,” the statement says.

Who are they investigating?

The officials who lead these two offices are René Guarín, former member of the M-19 and director of the Technology Directorate of the Presidency. Guarín is an engineer close to President Petro, who worked on similar tasks during the Petro administration in Bogotá.

On the other hand, the Secretary of Communications is Juan David Moreno, a low-profile communicator who was the secretary in charge after the departure of María Paula Fonseca, who went to work at RTVC as assistant television manager under Hollman Morris.
