Directors of the various faculties of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP) took the oath for the period 2024-2028 in the ordinary session of the University Board of Directors (CDU). This activity was headed by the rector of the institution, Alejandro Javier Zermeño Guerra.
There they gave recognition to those who completed the 2020-2024 term and also welcomed those re-elected and new directors of the different academic entities of the institution.
It was approved in this session, the issuance of 6 specialty diplomas, 6 master’s degrees and 3 doctoral degreespresented by the Secretary of School Services.
The councilors approved the subject programs to be taught from the fifth semester of Mechatronic Engineering, at the UAMZM; third and fourth semester, of the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, from the CARHS and third and fourth semester, of the Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, from the FCSyH.

As well as requests submitted by the School of Medicine for the curricular adjustment of the Bachelor of Surgeon and curricular modification of the Specialty in Neurology and the Specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology. And other requests from the Faculty of Engineering for the curricular adjustment of Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems Engineering, in addition to the curricular restructuring and subject programs of Agroindustrial Engineering.
Nine opinions were approved retirementpresented by the Institutional Pension Commission, for the benefit of workers from different areas.
In issues presented by the H. Finance Commission, they accepted the quotas for the Incorporated Preparatory Schools and those corresponding to the 2024-2025 school year, including enrollment for bachelor’s and high school, which did not suffer an increase, this to the benefit of the families’ economy. As well as, the request to lease 20 hectares of the “Rancho las Delicias” experimental field, located in the municipality of Montezumafrom the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, with the aim of carrying out the drilling and equipping of a well.
