The exhibition is made up of a selection of works from the collection of the National Council of Plastic Arts (CNAP) and others on loan for the occasion, which addresses humor not only in the political, but also in the erotic, everyday and more facets.

It also has pieces by important artists such as René de la Nuez, Frémez, Osneldo García, Lázaro Saavedra and Ares, among others.

The link between the first edition of the International Biennial of Political Humor continues this week with the university environment, as visits, dialogues and activities with young people are included in the program.

This Wednesday, June 26, at 10:00 local time, there will be a visit to the University of the Arts, where there will be a discussion about graphic humor in Cuba and Show Works with the students.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, June 27, at the same time, there will be a visit to the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts, where various activities are planned.

There will also be the inauguration of an exhibition exhibition with funds from the Museum of Humor of San Antonio de los Baños, located in the western province of Artemisa.

An exhibition of posters on Political Humor from the personal collection of the 2021 National Design Award José Alberto (Pepe) Menéndez Sigarroa and a discussion on graphic humor in the visual arts and Show Works will also be opened with the students of the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro Arts.

The first International Biennial of Political Humor will close on the 28th, focused on the fight against neo-fascism as the central axis and with the participation of more than 40 graphic comedians from 22 countries.

Tomorrow, Tuesday at 11:00, local time, the videoconference “Political Humor and Communication in the 21st Century” (liaison with editors, journalists and cartoonists from Cuban and foreign media) will take place at the headquarters of the Union of Journalists of Cuba.

In the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., local time, at the 23 and 12 cinema in Vedado, Havana, the exhibition “Dedeté anti-imperialista is worth the redundancy” will be inaugurated, by the humorous supplement of the Cuban newspaper Juventud Rebelde.
