His reappearance was at the installation of the dialogue table with the Government of President Gustavo Petro, in Caracas, Venezuela.

During the installation of the first peace dialogue table of the Second Marquelia and the National Government, the dissident leader made reference to the casualties they have had such as that of alias Jesús Santrich, alias El Paisa and alias Romaña.
“In these years we have had significant casualties such as those of Santrich, El Paisa, Romaña, Iván Merchán and other combatants of our force. We honor them and them. Without a doubt, they would be with us, accompanying us in this new endeavor that pursues peace for Colombia, as the highest of all rights,” said Iván Márquez.
