A Police officer was intercepted and injured this Monday when he was performing additional services at the Shell service station located at the intersection of Japan and Rancagua avenues in the capital of Córdoba.

The police officer was approached around 6 in the morning by three individuals aboard a white Ford Ranger truck dressed in the station’s uniform. The individuals threatened the officer with a firearm and subdued him with a blow to the head, stealing the service weapon.

During the escape they threw “miguelito” nails on the asphalt, which caused damage to a police vehicle that carried out a subsequent search.

The police officer received assistance from a 107 unit that diagnosed head trauma as a result of the blows received.
