Grouped in the Circle of Graciable Provincial Pensioners, members of the same were in EL CHUBUT to make known their precarious situation that led them to organize to ask for greater consideration because the amounts they collect from the province are not enough and will not cover the most minimal needs.

In that sense, Patricia Ruiz, who is the spokesperson for this group, commented on behalf of the other pensioners, that “with the economic gap that we are experiencing, the 60 thousand pesos a month that we receive from the provincial state is not enough to cover medication when the “The public hospital does not have the remedies, much less enough to pay for electricity, gas or bus fare when you have to travel to the city center.”
He pointed out that among the province’s ex-gratia pensioners, there are disabled people, elderly people, people who were not able to retire and do not have social benefits. For this reason, “we come to ask that the amount we are receiving be reconsidered. Although it is true, it is a contribution made by the province, it is necessary to know that it is not enough to cover our needs. “We ask Governor Ignacio Torres to understand our situation and consider a more generous increase,” said the spokesperson. On the other hand, they said that in the coming days they will present a request for a hearing to the governor to make him personally aware of his reality.
