The Constitutional Affairs and Justice Commission met yesterday, with the aim of coordinating the preparation of the list of questions that will be asked to Javier Raidan, nominated by the Executive Branch to occupy the position of magistrate in the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) , in the special session that will take place next Tuesday, July 2.

The special session – whose date was defined after a motion made by the ruling Despierta Chubut bloc in the ordinary session last Wednesday – is provided for in article 11 of Law V Number 152, which establishes that “it will be convened within a period of 30 days to a special session, as stipulated in the Provincial Constitution in article 132 and the Organic Regulations of the Legislature, with the presence of the candidates proposed by the Executive Branch.
And he adds that “the legislators will propose the questions that they understand are conducive to the evaluation of the candidates to the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Honorable Legislature.”

CONTRIBUTIONS “FROM ALL BLOCKS”
The president of the Commission, María Andrea Aguilera, participated in this Monday’s meeting; and the members Sonia Cavagnini, Leticia Magaldi, Paulina Hogalde (Despierta Chubut), Juan Pais, Gustavo Fita (Arriba Chubut), and Marcelo Rubia (PICH).
“All the questions sent by the deputies were received and they were systematized,” Aguilera explained.
The legislator added that this Monday the transfer of the document to Raidan was scheduled “with the contribution of all the blocks, so that it can comply with the hearing.”
The application for the Superior Court of Justice was sent by the Executive Branch to the Legislature on June 10, with the background and documentation required for its treatment by the provincial deputies.
