The Colombian National Team debuted with a 2-1 victory over Paraguay in the 2024 Copa América, a result that leaves it as the leader of group D and taking an important step towards its first objective: qualification for the quarterfinals.

Coach Néstor Lorenzo made his debut as a coach in the oldest national team competition, and achieved what José Pékerman could not with Colombia.

Lorenzo entered Colombian history in all his participations in the Copa América, and made six footballers debut in the competition.
