An Itinerant Consulate of Peru was held on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27, for people from the Peruvian community who live in the province. The event took place at the Santo Tomás de Aquino University (UNSTA) and allowed for the completion of DNI, registration (birth, death, marriage), notarial, criminal record certificates and passport procedures for more than 60 people.

Within the framework of this event, the vice-governor Michael Acevedo, acting as Executive Branch, received the Consul General of Peru on Wednesday, June 26. Local legislators were also present at the protocol meeting, who addressed issues related to the Peruvian community in the province and strengthened cultural ties between both nations.

The Consul General of Peru in Buenos Aires Luis Felipe Isasi Ruiz Eldredge expressed his gratitude to the Government of Tucumán and the Secretary of State for International and Business Relations for the necessary steps to carry out the itinerant consulate: “We are grateful for the support that the Government of Tucumán gives us. We hope to soon have a consular representation here in the province of Tucumán.”
