Córdoba must compensate the Colombian club for Mosquera in order to sign

Córdoba CF, a team recently promoted to the Second Division, will have to pay almost 100,000 euros to the Colombian CD Aston Villawho denounced him asking for training rights after the signing of defender Ferney Mosquera, in order to be able to sign players, as he appeared for that reason on the list of clubs sanctioned by FIFA.

The sanction, which in principle would be valid for the next three transfer markets if Córdoba does not pay said payment, It dates back to the beginning of 2022 due to an alleged contract between the Andalusian club and the Colombian Aston Villa, for an amount close to 100,000 euros.in the hiring for the green and white subsidiary of the central Ferney Mosquera.

The Colombian defender was hired by Córdoba for its second team in January 2022 and he debuted with the reserve team in February of that same year, ending the season with a total of seven games played.

In this case, furthermore, Córdoba had to use the Andalusian Employment Service to be able to hire the footballerafter facing various problems in bureaucratic procedures.

The complaint by CD Aston Villa, supposedly derived from an error in the drafting of Mosquera’s contract, led FIFA to impose a sanction to Córdoba by which it could not register players in the next three transfer markets, although this would be lifted if the Andalusian club assumed itsomething that is expected to happen in the coming days.
