The acting federal electoral judge, Hugo Greca, admitted the complaint for signature forgery made by the vice president of the Promotion Board of Freedom Advances, Ariel Zúñigaand the formation of the party in Río Negro is increasingly complex.

The judge issued a ruling to “the founding members of the party in formation so that by means of an instrument with certified signatures they can issue a statement regarding the content of those minutes.” According to Zúñiga, the content is falsified so the entire LLA registration process in Río Negro hangs in the balance.

The reference is to the documents of the Promoting Board and the Organic Charter. Zúñiga assures that there is a signature that he did not make and he offered to perform a handwriting test to prove that the signature on the document is false.

These documents were presented by the representatives of the space led by the national representative Lorena Villaverde to Justice, to constitute the District party and to be able to compete with the seal of Javier Milei in the next national elections of 2025. The process had already become in a scandal, since many of the adhesions that accompanied the document were trout.

The objective of LLA was to compete with its own stamp in the mid-term elections, in 2025. There was even speculation with Villaverde as a candidate for senator. Now, the party runs the risk of not being able to establish itself in a timely manner and its participation in the next vote independently is in jeopardy.

The signatures “do not belong to me, nor were they made in my handwriting,” Zúñiga said in his complaint. And he added: “More specifically, I was not even summoned to either of the two events, much less was I aware that they had been carried out.”

Judge Greca, in his resolution, required the founding members of the party in formation to issue an instrument with certified signatures regarding the content of those minutes, in the terms of art. 7 and 61 of Law 23,298 in rearrangement of this voluntary procedure, within a period of 5 (five) business days. For this purpose, an electronic ID card is issued to the party representative.

And he required the party representative to deliver the originals of the aforementioned minutes to the entry table of the National Electoral Secretariat.

The scandal of the trout adhesions to LLA

LLA sought to obtain the party seal in time for the next electoral process. However, it is possible that the entire process will be declared irregular and libertarian leaders will be forced to start from scratch. In the worst case scenario, as a result of the multiple irregularities reported, the members of the promotion board could even be prohibited from being part of the process.

The complications began when members of the unions ATE and Unter They denounced that they appeared on the list of adherents to the political space without their consent. Later, it was discovered that people who do not live in the country would have been included and data from the Federation of Box without consent.

The scandal caused the LLA leaders headed by Villaverde to ask the Justice Department to stop the registration process and remove 500 names from the register of adherents. On a political level, there were also repercussions. In fact, national LLA authorities suspended events planned in Río Negro and asked Rep. Villaverde for explanations.

Now, faced with the complaint of false signatures, Justice could opt for the absolute annulment of the process and disqualify all the people who participated in this party recognition action to resubmit the same procedure. In the best of cases, partial nullity could be determined, which requires correcting all irregularities and starting from scratch, but with the same drivers.
