iNNpulsa Colombia and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism continue to reach the territories with the strategy of ZASCA Reindustrialization Centers. On this occasion, with the opening of the call for the ZASCA panela agroindustry center which is located in the municipality of Villeta, Cundinamarca and? will benefit 160 productive units and/or MSMEs in the region.

With an investment of $4,781 million and in alliance with the Chamber of Commerce of Facatativá and the Sena Regional Cundinamarca – headquarters of the Villeta Agroindustrial and Business Development Center, this ZASCA center will strengthen the productive capacities of the beneficiaries dedicated to the production of products based on cane and panela.

Hernán Ceballos Gacharná, general manager of iNNpulsa Colombia – Colombia Productiva, said that “the panela production It constitutes one of the main economic activities of peasant families in the municipality of Villeta and its area of ​​influence. Through this ZASCA center we are calling on the productive units and MSMEs in the region to apply and be selected among the first 40 beneficiaries out of a total of 160. As part of this initiative they will access support and specialized machinery that will allow them increase their productivity.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of the Facatativá Chamber of CommerceOrlando Castro Rojas, highlights the importance of the program for the region, as it prioritizes the value chain of panela producers and its derivatives. “With this initiative, we seek to increase productivity through innovation, specialized technical support and the use of machinery and tools designed for business strengthening. I extend a cordial invitation to small business owners, associations and entrepreneurs to apply and take advantage of this valuable opportunity for growth.”

This ZASCA center, located in the facilities of the Sena Villeta Agroindustrial and Business Development CenterIn addition to spaces for strengthening business capabilities, it offers beneficiaries access to a physical-chemical laboratory for the analysis of raw materials and products, and plants for the production of panela and its derivatives using steam technology.
