The Directorate of Educational Planning and Quality of the Ministry of Education carried out the operation Evaluation for the Improvement of Educational Quality (EMeCE); where 166 state and private management establishments, from urban and rural areas, participated with the objective of carrying out a diagnosis of the situation within the framework of the Jurisdictional Literacy Plan.
One of the institutions where the day took place was at the Costanera Norte School; which was supervised by the director of Planning and Educational Quality, Analia Gimenez; together with the director of Primary Education, Carlos Diaz.
It should be noted that the sample will be carried out on 17,000 3rd and 6th grade students; which represents 30% of the enrollment. It is important to highlight the participation of students with disabilities, with an adapted instrument with support configurations.
The instruments were designed by curricular technical teams of the Ministry of Education to evaluate the areas of Language and Mathematics.
In this sense, the evaluation will be applied again in the month of November of this year, to continue monitoring the actions and strategies that will be implemented based on the results.
“The day was very successful, the students responded in a very warm environment. Our technical teams from the Directorates of Planning and Educational Quality, Primary Education and Private Public Education visited some schools; and we have 85% attendance. Previously, we worked with an instruction for the teacher to avoid tense situations that evaluations generate; and we shared an implementation protocol in the areas of Language and Mathematics so that the instruction can be implemented without difficulties. The objective is that with these results we can evaluate how we are in order to think of specific strategies within the framework of the Literacy Plan,” Analía Giménez summarized.
