A tragedy occurred on the morning of Wednesday, June 26, in the municipality of Juan de Acosta, Atlántico, after a small plane crashed in a rural area of said town.

The aircraft with registration JH 097 was flying over the municipality when it crashed to the ground and fell in a wooded area of a farm.
Videos shared on social media show the magnitude of the accident. The aircraft was destroyed by the impact, which left the two crew members dead.
The bodies of the people were trapped in the middle of the cans because, when they fell, the initial blow was to the front of the plane near the pilot cabin, according to preliminary information.
To date, the identities of the fatal victims are unknown and the authorities have not yet provided details of what happened, so an official statement is awaited.
The hypothesis that is being used regarding the accident is a possible mechanical failure. In addition, the weather conditions would have made maneuverability difficult due to the strong winds that were recorded during the flight.
