The Attorney General’s Office called on the Governor of Atlántico to share its security strategy with all the mayors of the department’s municipalities.

This request is made within the framework of a follow-up meeting called by the control body this Wednesday at the facilities of the Government and in which the military and police forces participated, as well as the mayors of the metropolitan area and the departmental administrations. and district. The meeting was led by Tatiana Oñate, delegate attorney for Territorial Management and Governance.

According to the Secretary of the Interior of Atlántico, José Antonio Luque, work is already underway on the creation and articulation – in the times required by the norm – of the Comprehensive Plans for Security and Citizen Coexistence (Piscc).

The official maintained that the security strategy is tied to the security entities that have two jurisdictions in the department: metropolitan and the rest of the Atlantic, so the results in this matter – he said – will be obtained once the actions are implemented. contemplated in these plans.

“These investments and strategies will be bearing fruit as time passes and they are implemented. The first part of these investments have already materialized with the delivery of 40 vans, 400 motorcycles, communication radios and other tools to the Metropolitan Police that is already working on the streets today. Now the same thing is happening in the rest of the department,” he noted.

He added that the department’s new Police Command, located in Sabanalarga, will also be put into service to continue strengthening these actions aimed at reducing crime and guaranteeing security throughout the territory.

“For a few months now, the Command has already had the Goes carrying out its activities at one point and in the last few weeks we have started with administrative work and as of tomorrow (Thursday) it will be fully operational. This will help in a better deployment of the public force in the department,” Luque noted.
