The joy, enthusiasm and healthy coexistence of the children were some of the factors that were felt during the inauguration of the VI Esperanzas del Sinú 2024 Football Cup, which brings together more than 1,300 athletes from all over the country in Montería .
In total, 32 clubs are present, with more than 90 teams, among which the presence of important elevens with national recognition and experience stands out, such as Atlético Nacional, Arco Zaragoza, Escuela Barranquillera, Talentos Cartageneros, Rey Pelé, among others.
The event runs from June 26 to July 1, is organized by Area Chica, with the support of the governor of Córdoba, Erasmo Zuleta Bechara, through the Departmental Sports Institute, under the direction of Luis Aldana Dumar.
“Never stop pursuing your dreams, every day keep working to achieve your dreams. Discipline someday defeats intelligence. May God bless you and may the best team win in this tournament held in our capital Montería,” said the departmental leader.
The governor announced that next year an international version of this same event will be held and, in addition, he assured that on that same date the construction of the High Performance Sports Center will begin, which will be located next to the University of Córdoba.
For his part, the director of Indeportes Córdoba, Luis Aldana Dumar, indicated that “our governor’s willingness is to support all sports initiatives in our department, both official and private, and today we are linked to this beautiful event that brings together more than 1300 athletes from all over the country. Children are the future, it is the commitment we are making to support our young people.”
The competitions are divided into five categories, with players between 7 and 11 years of age, who bet on sport as a promoter of peace in Córdoba and in all the regions represented in the delegations from San Andrés Islas, Atlántico, Valle, Bolívar, Sucre, Antioquia and Córdoba.
