The Pico y Placa applies from Monday to Friday (Infobae)

Due to recent changes in the application of the vehicle restriction program known as Peak and Plateit is important to know which vehicles cannot travel this Thursday, June 27 in Villavicencio.

The city’s Mobility Secretariat details that the vehicle restriction depends on the ending of the car license plate, the type of vehicle, the day of the week and even the time.

The Pico y Placa aims to improve air quality, reduce vehicular traffic and reduce car accidents. Here is the schedule of restrictions for this Thursday, according to the Villavicencio government.

Motorcycles: Does not apply.

Individuals: 5 and 6.

Taxis: 7.

Freight transport: All.

It is worth mentioning that this vehicle restriction applies in two schedules: first, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.; and then, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m..

This is how the Pico y Placa applies in Villavicencio (Mayor of Villavicencio)

The new guidelines of the vehicle restriction program, popularly known as Pico y Placa, were implemented on January 15 through Decree 034 presented by the Villavicencio Mobility Secretariat.

According to the decree, the current Pico y Placa will be valid, for now, from January 18 to June 28, 2024

The operation of this vehicle restriction depends on the day of the week, as well as the last digit of the car’s license plate.

In the case of private vehicles, the Pico and Plate will apply in the following sequence:

Monday: 9 and 0.

Tuesday: 1 and 2.

Wednesday: 3 and 4.

Thursday: 5 and 6.

Friday: 7 and 8.

The Pico y Placa applies from Monday to Friday, on non-holidays, during the hours between 06:30 and 08:30 and from 17:00 to 19:30.

In the case of Taxis, the vehicle restriction applies in a different way, it began on Monday, January 15, prohibiting circulation to cars whose range will end in 3 and advancing successively, from Monday to Sunday in the sequence from 0 to 9 .

For taxi drivers, the time of application of the Pico y Placa is also different, starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m.

According to the Villavicencio Mobility Department, several cars may not be affected by the Pico y Placa.

Collective public transport
school routes
Of emergency
Surveillance
Private security
From the Public Force
Of the Military Forces
Armored in compliance with their duties

Drivers who fail to comply with the vehicle restriction program will be subject to a financial penalty.

The current fine, according to the Villavicencio Mayor’s Office, is equivalent to 15 minimum wages in force, in addition, the car will be immobilized.
