Two years ago, the dramatic videos – which went viral on social networks – of a group of students from the indigenous settlement of Puerto Mosquitoin Santa Marta, who risked their lives by cross the river holding on to a rope because there is no bridge.

The previous administration, according to reports issued through press releases, promised them the construction of this bridge, but, apparently, everything remained on paper. Today, in the middle of 2024, the community viralized a new video where A man holds a baby in a makeshift ‘kangaroo’.

This father – according to what the community said – was carrying his son in his arms to take him to the doctor. The worst thing about the situation is that the stream was crossing under the rising product of the intense rains that have fallen in this area of ​​Santa Marta.

Given this situation, the citizens and residents of this sector have asked the new administration to begin the processes for the construction of the bridge and thus avoid an announced tragedy.
