Enrique Galindo will return to the mayor’s office in the first week of July

The interim mayor of the capital said that the presence of the Municipal Guard on the streets has improved the perception of crime incidence

Alexandra Daniela Cid Gonzalez, interim president of the capital of Potosí, referred to the criminal acts in which the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection of the Capital intervened, and He showed his gratitude for the service of the Potosi society, which has allowed crime rates to decrease.

The interim mayor recalled that The municipal administration has worked to improve the working and living conditions of the members of the capital’s SSPC.through training, equipment and salary improvements.

“I think it is a good time to thank and recognize their work. Of course We will continue to guarantee the safety, work well-being and in every sense of our elements”, he stated.

Cid González said that during these three years, the capital’s Security Secretariat has become more present in Social Proximity work: “They are continually present through the quadrants with which they work,

and they have an organization with the various councils or various neighborhood meetings where they are working closely with the issue of security,” he commented.

Finally, the interim mayor recalled that thanks to the efforts of Enrique Galindo Ceballos – licensed municipal president –, the work of Commander Juan Antonio Villa at the head of the capital’s SSPC, and the commitment of the elements of the Municipal Guard, have influenced in reducing the incidence of high-impact crimes, crimes against property and the perception of insecurity.
